What is Biomagnetic Therapy?
Biomagnetic Pair Therapy is a non-invasive complementary therapy developed by Mexican physician Dr Isaac Goiz Durán. It uses pairs of medium-intensity magnets placed on specific areas of the body, following a method based on his theories about the body’s internal environment.
Dr Goiz first described the Biomagnetic Pair in 1988 and continued developing the method through decades of clinical work. His theory explores the relationship between the body’s internal environment, pH and biological balance.
At the heart of the method is the biomagnetic pair: two specific points in the body that, according to Dr Goiz’s model, are associated with opposite polarities. These points are identified through a systematic full-body assessment using applied kinesiology, observing changes in leg length. A positive and a negative magnet are then placed on the corresponding points of each pair. Within Dr Goiz’s theoretical framework, this process is described as the depolarisation of the pair, with the intention of restoring balance.
The therapy can be used alongside conventional medical care, but it does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.

What can I expect during a Biomagnetic therapy session?

The diagnosis is done through a Kinesiology (muscle-test) assessment that in this case may also be known as Bioenergetic diagnosis. Pairs of magnets with a positive and negative charge are then placed on the entry and exit points associated with the condition and identified during the assessment.
You will have magnets placed on your body, often in multiple locations, depending on the results of the Kinesiology assessment.
During the time that the magnets are in place, patients generally relax deeply, move into light trance, or fall asleep.
The first biomagnetism session lasts approximately 90 minutes, as it consists of analysis and control. The following sessions last around 1 hour, depending on the therapist’s assessment. Typically between 4 and 6 sessions are sufficient to achieve complete healing of minor conditions.
Chronic or degenerative conditions will require additional sessions. The length of frequency of these Biomagnetic Therapy sessions will vary greatly depending on the underlying condition, but a period of more intense therapy during the first month followed by monthly sessions is not uncommon.

ABOUT PEMA

She trained with the originator of this discipline Dr Goiz-Duran, and has been certified to provide Biomagnetic Pair Therapy by Centro de Investigacion de Biomagnetismo Medico, Madrid, The University of Chapingo, Mexico and by Dr. Isaac Goiz-Duran, and is an accredited member of the International College of Medical Biomagnetism, (CMBM).
She became aware of Biomagnetic Therapy while researching alternative ways to treat her own health having been diagnosed with a condition that with solely conventional medical treatment would have prescribed a lifetime of medication and invasive surgical procedures which she has successfully avoided.
